Hello from Debbie Breneman!

What Makes Me, Me: I’ve been incredibly blessed to spend almost my entire life with my high school sweetheart, Mike.  High school and church youth group friends, married in college, and now, 47 years later, we’ve shared many adventures… through college, various careers, and Mike’s time in the Marine Corps which took us across the country and around the world. Together, we’ve raised three sons and two daughters who have given us so much joy and 12 grandchildren—11 boys and 1 girl!

My most treasured moments? Although our family is spread across four states, it’s pure joy when we’re able to come together. Watching the grandkids discover their passions—whether it’s in sports, theater, or academics—warms my heart. I especially love seeing them grow as cousins and friends. The laughter, many times they’re laughing at their Grandmommy, those memories are the ones I hold closest.

What I am Reading: I’m always juggling a few books at once, hard copy and on Audible! Right now, I’m reading *Traction*, *Katherine* (a classic favorite), and *Big Magic*.  I’m listening to *We Should Get Together* and *Find Your People*

In My Spare Time: I’m most content when I’m outside, grounded—literally! Bare feet in the grass, basking in the sunshine (I’m a sunshine person), bird watching, gardening, and chatting with friends. Spending time with my family and close friends whenever possible is precious to me.

How someone would describe me: How people describe me depends on how they know me. Some may think they know me because they see one side of my “personalities,” but few know me fully. Even the name you call me gives me clues to how you know me and how well: “Deb” if you know me professionally, “Debbie” if you’re family or a long-time friend and a couple of nick names if we are long-time friends.

Me in as a Color: Cheetah print—bold, dynamic, with a mix of light and dark, just like me.

My Favorite Travel Hack: From all my travels, I’ve learned that getting there can be the toughest part. So, as much as you can, create your own comfort. I never leave home without my essentials: my electronics, earbuds, cozy socks, a warm blanket or jacket, and, of course, my unsweetened iced tea. It’s all about staying cozy and comfortable on the go. Then try to chill, be flexible and make the best experience possible.

My Favorite Season: Summer, without a doubt. Give me sunshine, blue water, and warm temps!

What Makes me, me: At my core, I care deeply about people and feel the pain around me.  I feel most alive when I’m connecting with others, listening, and offering encouragement. That’s where I find my purpose and joy.
