Paradise at Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall

Here at Classic Travel Connection, we like to give you an inside scoop of our own travels so that we can provide you with your ideal vacation. Recently, Cindy, our Client Care Representative, had the opportunity to travel to Montego Bay, Jamaica and stay at the beautiful Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall. Below you will get a glimpse of what your next beautiful Caribbean escape could be like.

When my sister first told she wanted to have a destination wedding in Jamaica, I was ecstatic! For starters, I would get the opportunity to stand by my sister’s side as she married the man of her dreams and secondly, I was selfishly excited because I had never been to Jamaica. Now that the Big Day has come and gone, I wanted to give some details of our beautiful get-away to Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall.

Only a short 15 minute transfer from the airport stands the amazing Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall. It is a beautiful, family-friendly resort tucked between the crystal waters of the Caribbean Sea and the high mountain peaks in Montego Bay, Jamaica. Hyatt Ziva has 277 rooms and suites covering their entire resort. Each offering a private terrace, allowing you to enjoy the breathtaking views of Jamaica from your own room. I would begin and end each day on our balcony, taking in the calm of the day as the sun would rise & set over the horizon.

Connected to Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall is the stunning adults-only resort, Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall. If of age, during your stay you are allowed to enjoy the different activities, pools, and dining offered at both resorts. We only spent a few hours at Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall, but if you are looking for a more relaxed atmosphere, Hyatt Zilara is the place to go.

Dining at Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall

If you are anything like me, traveling to get a taste of the food is a major part of any vacation. There are 16 astonishing restaurants, bars and lounges at the Hyatt Ziva with many food and drink options to choose from. The food ranges from Asian, Italian, Jamaican and so on.

We had the opportunity to get breakfast each morning at the ChoiceZ Buffet Breakfast, a delightful breakfast buffet is put together every morning. Food options ranged from fruits, pastries, American favorites, to Jamaican breakfast delights. One morning, we decided to sleep in and take advantage of the room-service delivery. With so many options to choose from, we simply could not decide. We ordered everything that was on the menu, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. What better way to begin the day than with a large breakfast in bed?

If you would like to grab a quick lunch, Blue Grill at CalypZo and Barefoot JerkZ are two amazing options to choose from. Both located next to the pool, you can get a taste of the island’s staple foods. They say Hyatt Ziva offers the best Jerk Chicken in Jamaica, but we think you will have to try it out for yourself!

My two favorite dinner options are Di RoZa Italian Restaurant and FuZion Asian Grill. Who doesn’t enjoy breadsticks and pasta? Also, if you are a sushi fan, you must get the sushi appetizer at FuZion Asian Grill. Thank me later!

Relaxing at the Pool or Beach:

Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall has two amazing outdoor pools & two heated whirlpools. There is also a swim-up bar located at the main pool for your enjoyment. There are many games and activities held throughout the day to entertain the entire family. If that isn’t enough, walk next door and enjoy the peaceful infinity pool and lagoon-style pools at Hyatt Zilara. Since it is adults only, the older siblings took a few hours to ourselves one afternoon to soak in the sun and relax in the infinity pool with a Jamaican rum in-hand.

Also, a small swim-able beach is located right by the resort to splash around in. Dip your feet in the sand, relax in the sun beneath the blowing palm trees or take an early morning plunge in the ocean. The options are endless.

Adding in some fun:

Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall also offers a variety of activities that are sure to bring out your inner child! These activities include: swimming and water sports, fitness, the KidZ club, daily activities, nightly entertainment and so much more.

Activities range from kayaking, private catamaran rides, boogie boarding and even snorkeling in the crystal clear waters. I did not go on the private catamaran cruise, but my parents took a romantic sail early one morning and talked about it the rest of the vacation. They say if you go on the catamaran ride early enough, you will get the opportunity to see sea turtles in their natural habitat. You can also play poolside and beachside games like corn hole, bingo and beach volleyball with the chance to win Hyatt Ziva dollars to spend on in the gift shop.

My favorite memory from the vacation was rafting down the Martha Brae River. My boyfriend and I floated down the 3.5 mile river taking in all the beauty that Jamaica has to offer. I know what you’re thinking, were there any snakes or alligators? That was my very first question to our guide; however, he assured me there were not. (My eyes were still glued during the entire rafting experience though) Our guide made sure to make our experience exceptional by allowing us to control the raft ourselves. During the peaceful journey, he told us different history facts and all about the plants and flowers that we were gliding past. It will always be one of my favorite memories during our vacation.

Do you like to get your daily sweat on while on vacation? Hyatt Ziva offers a huge indoor fitness center to get your workout on. There are also daily aquatic workouts held each morning for the entire family to enjoy the beautiful Jamaican weather like yoga, pilates and much more.

To end the perfect day, enjoy a Jamaican show consisting of Jamaican music and dance moves. During our stay we enjoyed some shows that were simply jaw dropping. One evening during dinner we enjoyed fire dancers and acrobatics, we simply could not look away.

A Wedding in Paradise:

If you’re considering a destination wedding or renewing your vows, DO IT! With mimosas and appetizers waiting for us in the Zen Spa, the bridal party spent the morning getting manicures/pedicures and our hair/makeup done by the amazing staff.

My sister’s wedding was both simple and elegant. With the calm ocean wind blowing and the waves splashing the shore, we witnessed my sister & brother-in-law exchange vows under a beautiful gazebo overlooking the Caribbean Sea. The ceremony was held on a balcony that overlooked the entire resort which allowed for a beautiful view of the sunset as we all danced the night away.

Overall, staying at Hyatt Ziva/Zilara Rose Hall is truly paradise. Whether you are looking for a family vacation, romantic getaway, or a Destination Wedding location, Hyatt Ziva/Zilara Rose Hall would not let you down. I would go back in a heartbeat if I had the opportunity. Now, what is holding you back, let Classic Travel Connection plan your perfect getaway today!
