Wine is Worth Celebrating

Today is Global Drink Wine Day and in the spirit of this exceptional day, we are going to share some of our favorite wine experiences from around the world. We’re not going to lie. It's a little hard to narrow this list down, but we’ll give it our best shot!

Let’s start in Napa Valley - Goosecross Winery remains at the top of our list for both the winery experience and the wine. This cute boutique winery is found just to the east of Yountville on the famous State Lane. The back patio overlooks the vineyard with a fabulous Mountain View back drop. Every time we are there we fall in love the atmosphere all over again. But, let’s be honest, the real reason it's on the top of our list is because it’s the only place where we’ve been able to smash grapes during harvest! What a thrill!

And the wines that are crafted here are among some of our favorites. They are perfect for every occasion - from the random Monday night watching TV on the couch wine, to the anniversary celebratory wine, Goosecross has it all covered.

If you haven’t experienced Goosecross, and their stunning array of wines, we highly recommend!

Moving on to another place that likely comes to mind when you think of wine, Tuscany!

No favorite wine experience is complete if it doesn't include a Tuscany winery. Christen often talks about their time spend at Fattoria Poggio Allora as one that she will never forget. They made pasta, ate pasta, toured the family winery and farm, and drank wine that was grown on the vineyards that they overlooked while they did all of the above. It was a moment in time that was unforgettable, and one that she not only hopes to experience again, but we also hope that it’s one you are able to experience too.

Now, let’s talk about another wine experience that might not be on your radar, the Winelands of South Africa! When you think "South Africa", you likely think “safari”? And while you definitely should because there is nothing like the safari experience, let us tell you about another really special place in South Africa, Groot Constantia. As the oldest wine farm in South Africa, dating back to 1685, it is a must see. Groot was not only a favorite of our very own, Katelyn Sprayberry on her honeymoon, but it is most notably recognized for being the wines written about by Jane Austen and Charles Dickens.

If you are thinking about a South African adventure, we recommend thinking about a "Sip & Safari" experience. This destination is perfect for both of these amazing experiences. The Winelands are just gorgeous, and the wines produced here are some of the best in the world. And safari, we will let it speak for its self.

So here's to Global Drink Wine Day featuring wines from around the world! We will be celebrating with memories, and a bottle of wine, from our favorite wineries.

If you’d like more information on seeing these special locations for yourself, you know right where to find us. We’ve love to help you experience some of the finest wines the world has to offer… or at least that’s our humble opinion.

Happy Global Drink Wine Day!
